If you have a Clarahost hosting package that you also use for your email services, you have the option to setup the mailboxes on your email clients using either POP or IMAP protocols.

Connecting your mailbox through POP

If you would like to connect to the mailboxes using POP you will need to use the following server settings:

1. Tap the Settings button from your iPhone / iPad home screen.

2. Next click on mail.

The two different types of mail protocols both have advantages and disadvantages. It just depends which email is suited more to you and your business.

Deciding which works better for your business can sometimes be an overwhelming choice to make if you’re not a technical expert. The points listed below should help you choose the right mail server for you and explain the main differences between the two.

If you have a ClaraHost hosting package with us you do have the ability to connect to your mailboxes via both POP and IMAP. By default, IMAP for your domain is disabled, if you want to enable this feature you will need to contact our support team. Once enabled, you can use the server imap.clara.net in your mail client with port 143 or with SSL on port 993.

If you are using one of our hosting packages below:

• Basic
• Enhanced
• Business
• E-Tailer

You are able to modify the mailbox sizes accordingly to your personal preference. You can increase/decrease the size of the mailbox as required up to a maximum size of 2000MB per mailbox from the allocated size limit you have for your package.

Please note: If you have a @clara.co.uk or @clara.net email address, then unfortunately the mailbox size cannot be changed.

Yes, you can access your emails by using the webmail from any internet connection. Log in to your webmail from any internet web browser by visiting https://webmail.clara.net.

Please sign in with your details, full email address as the Username and the Password is your email password, then press Login.
